The tiny immensity of little things

Call it God,

Call it particle,

Call it white noise or choose your favourite colour.

Yet do not call it, for it fails to understand voices apart

From clamour, laughter or sob.

[Add some a-semantic noise of your own.]

If it understands anything, to start with.

Call it particle.

Maybe we might call it middle,

The exact point where we stand

At that exact point.

Beyond us, the immensity of things.

Us, the tiny and little.

In us, making or masking us,

The tiny immensity of little things.
