I'm still surprised at this wonderfully strange connection: Gisela reads Antonio Tabucchi, Antonio reads Gisela's poems and translations, Antonio tells her about Fernando Pessoa regarding translations, Gisela shows Antonio a Spanish translation of Pessoa's poem «The Tobacconist», Antonio translates and posts a Pessoa's poem about love-letters, Gisela reads the poem and mentions that Tabucchi has a similar approach to reality as Pessoa, Gisela recommends Antonio to read Tabucchi's novel that he already had received as a gift, Tabucchi's novel Si Sta Facendo Sempre più Tardi is a series of love-letters, even if some are bitter-sweet, Antonio finds out that Tabucchi "knows that an encounter with a book, a picture or a person can give a new twist to a person’s life. His own changed after he read on a train journey a poem called «Tabacaria» («The Tobacconist»), by the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935)", besides living 6 months of the year in Lisboa... Life is beautifully complex!
