Days of rain on her roof
soaked her attic’s woodwork
under which, in tin trunks kept,
frailly locked by cobwebs and dust,
folded her whole being lays.
Water rushed out
of pipes by the windows,
dormant seeds, down below,
drank it and sprouted,
and her garden flourished,
as gardens do on days of rain.
