We talk on the phone about our pains,

Our victories, our demands,

Absurdities, peculiarities;

About love, about strength,

Hair loss, diets, sex and penis length.

Sometimes we even sob holding the phone as a life line

Invisible, wireless these days.

But we must connect and reconnect,

Regret — and reregret if we’re pathet.

She does all that on the phone with me.

But while peeing. Splash.

And it feels great.
